Mariposa Yosemite Symphony Orchestra

A community treasure: serving Mariposa County inside and outside Yosemite National Park under the direction of Founder and Music Director, Les Marsden. With only 17,000 residents, Mariposa County has the rare distinction of having its own symphony orchestra. The Mariposa Yosemite Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) has performed everywhere from local stages to Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park. MYSO is the official symphony of Yosemite National Park A gifted musician and thespian, Les Marsden established MYSO more than two decades ago, proving that classical music culture can thrive far from the big city.
